The client I’ve been working with recently piloted the following phones:
- Snom 300 – http://www.snom.com/en/products/ip-phones/snom-300/
- Polycom SoundPoint IP 335 – http://www.polycom.com/products/voice/desktop_solutions/soundpoint/desk_phones/soundpoint_ip335.html
The client’s feedback on the Snom 300 phone was that they did not like the form factor at all as they were used to the handsets they were using with their Nortel CS1000. It was too bad they returned it before my 2nd visit as I wanted to have a closer look at it but I guess looks does weight quite a bit.
The client’s feedback on the Polycom SoundPoint IP 335 phones was that they liked the form factor because it was much more “chunkier” but they’re going to start looking at the Aastra phones instead because the Polycoms require a reboot for every small setting you change and the reboot takes upwards to 2 to 3 minutes.
Note that the comments made for the phones above are not directly my opinion but rather just the feedback I received from the client.
